Peter Miles was born in Ottawa, Ontario Canada.

He is mainly, a self-taught artist and has been pursuing it since 1998. He attended the Ottawa School of Art where he was exposed to various mediums including oils and acrylics. Peter was a guest on WPBS Television in Watertown, NY in 2007, 2012, and 2016 as part of “Showcase of the Arts & Auction”. His work has sold through Chapters and Indigo stores across Canada and online. He enjoys creating various types of scenes including wildlife, landscape, and seascapes in an oil medium. He gets much of his inspiration from his local surroundings and from places he has visited. Peter has also been teaching art to seniors in retirement homes as well as adults and children in their homes and has found this to be very rewarding.
